Uncontrollable Corona: 2.73 lakh new cases come in the country for the first time, 1619 infected people die in 24 hours
Coronavirus Cases Death in India: More than 2 lakh new corona cases have come in the country for the fifth consecutive day. Till date, more than 26.97 million corona sample tests have been done, out of which 14 lakh samples were tested yesterday. The daily positivity rate is more than 13 percent.
Corona infection in the country has destroyed all records till date. Every day more new corona cases are being registered than the previous day. According to the latest report of the Ministry of Health, 273,810 new corona cases have come in the last 24 hours and 1619 infected people have lost their lives. However, 1,44,178 people have also recovered from Corona. Earlier on Saturday, 261,500 new cases were received.

Section 144 applies till 1 May in Maharashtra
The highest number of 68,631 cases reported so far in a single day of corona virus infection in Maharashtra on Sunday, while 503 infected died. With this, the number of infected in the state has gone up to 38,39,338 while the number of dead has reached 60,473. There are 6,70,388 infected patients undergoing treatment in the state at present. In view of the increasing cases of corona, the Maharashtra government has implemented Section 144 till May 1.
Till date 12 crore 38 lakh corona vaccines have been given
The campaign to get Corona vaccine started in the country on 16 January. Till April 18, 12 crore 38 lakh 52 thousand 566 corona doses have been given across the country. There were 12 lakh 30 thousand vaccines last day. The campaign to give the second dose of vaccine started on 13 February. From April 1, all people above 45 years of age are being vaccinated.
The death rate of corona in the country is 1.20 percent while the recovery rate is around 87 percent. Active cases increased to more than 12 percent. India ranks second in the world in Corona Active Case. India also ranks second in terms of total number of infected people. While India has the highest number of deaths in the world after USA, Brazil and Mexico.
India’s second Kovid wave more contagious
The second wave of coronavirus epidemic in India is different from the first wave in September 2020, as the rate of new cases has increased. The Lancet Kovid-19 Commission India Task Force said in a report that from February to April there was an increase of 10,000 to 80,000 new cases per day in less than 40 days. Last September, this journey took 83 days.
