OnePlus, offering high end smartphones, is now planning to launch a new phone at an affordable price. Regarding the OnePlus 8 series affordable phone, the company’s co-founder Pete Lau said in an interview that the company will bring new cheap OnePlus phones so that the maximum number of OnePlus smartphones can be delivered to more people. However, he did not mention the name of the phone.

Pete Lau said in an interview with the FastCompany company that we are changing our strategy after six years of the smartphone business. The brand is not only looking to make cheap OnePlus phones, but we are also planning to expand into the new product category in India. The last affordable smartphone from the brand was the OnePlus X that came out in 2015. At the same time, it now seems that the company is ready to return to the affordable smartphone segment with OnePlus Z.

OnePlus Z can be launched in the Indian market first. It is expected that after Phone India, the phone will be introduced in other markets like North America and Europe. However the company has not yet officially confirmed the name or launch of the phone. Pete Lau explained that his company’s vision would not change as he would continue to produce better quality products. Soon there will be an announcement about the new strategy of OnePlus.

According to the information revealed so far about OnePlus Z, a punch-hole display will be given in the phone, which will be in the middle of the screen. The screen was said to be 6.4 inches, which can be of 90 Hz refresh rate. At the same time, the talk of giving MediaTek Dimension 1000 chipset in the phone was revealed in the leak. According to the leak, OnePlus Z will support a 48-megapixel triple rear camera and the phone will be given a 4,000 mAh battery with 30 W fast charging support. The phone can come with Android 10 OS.
