New Delhi, 8 March: New Delhi Witnesses Historic Unity on Mahashivratri: Muslim Rashtriya Manch Launches Book Promoting Hindu-Muslim Harmony
The Akashvani Rang Bhavan in New Delhi was imbued with a spirit of unity and harmony on Friday as Hindus and Muslims came together to celebrate Mahashivratri and mark the release of the book ‘Indian Muslims: The Foundation of National Unity – Hubbul Watani’. Jointly edited by Professor Shahid Akhtar and Dr. Keshav Patel, the event was graced by esteemed personalities including Chief Patron of Muslim Rashtriya Manch, Indresh Kumar, RSS Sampark Pramukh Ram Lal, Sajjade Nashi, and Diwan of Ajmer Sharif Dargah, Hazrat Syed Zainul Abedin Ali Khan, alongside Chief Imam of All India Imam Organization, Dr. Imam Umer Ahmed Ilyasi, and Chairman of National Minorities Commission. The book is published by “Kitab Wala”.
In his address, Indresh Kumar emphasized the necessity of dialogue and harmony, denouncing violence and the commodification of Muslims for political gains. He urged Muslims to recognize their nationalist identity, stressing the importance of introspection and understanding their shared heritage with Hindus. Kumar’s decades-long campaign for unity and understanding has gained immense traction, emphasizing that divisive politics only serve to fragment society.
Highlighting the book’s significance, Kumar urged all to engage with its contents, which shed light on various societal issues and foster a deeper understanding of Indian identity. He reiterated that irrespective of religious affiliations, all Indians share a common DNA and must stand united against divisive forces. Kumar’s call for unity echoes the sentiment that only through collective action can the nation overcome challenges such as riots and untouchability, paving the way for a harmonious future.”
They impose hijab on girls and women solely for their own agenda, which is deeply concerning. Furthermore, viewing divorce as unfortunate and wrong underscores the importance of nurturing strong familial bonds. Encouraging all to delve into the book, Kumar emphasized its role in broadening perspectives and deepening understanding of pertinent issues. His steadfast assertion that we are, always have been, and always will be Indians reflects a commitment to national unity.
Indresh Kumar’s call for introspection among Muslims resonates with the shared heritage of the vast majority, who trace their ancestry back to Hindu roots. Emphasizing the commonality in the DNA of all 1.42 billion Indians, Kumar’s critique of inappropriate behavior and objectionable slogans serves as a necessary reminder of the importance of responsible leadership.
He contends that unity amongst all communities is paramount to eradicating social ills such as riots and untouchability. Echoing these sentiments, an RSS National Executive member underscored the fundamental unity of all beings under a singular Creator, emphasizing the universal identity of Indians across diverse backgrounds. Their message is clear: regardless of religious or social distinctions, we are all united by our ancestry, nationality, physical appearance, and ultimately, by our shared existence.”
On the occasion of the book release, RSS Sampark Pramukh Ram Lal passionately endorsed the publication, urging everyone to delve into its contents. He lauded the increasing vibrancy of the Muslim Rashtriya Manch, noting the boundless enthusiasm of Honorable Indresh Kumar. Ram Lal reflected on the historical clarity post-1947, asserting that Indian Muslims have always been, and will remain, staunch nationalists. He dispelled misconceptions, emphasizing that the actions of a few cannot tarnish the patriotism of the many.
Ram Lal delved into history, highlighting moments of shared struggle and heroism among Indians of all backgrounds. He underscored the unity exemplified by figures like Raja Hasan Khan Mewati and Brigadier Usman, urging a recognition of Indian Muslims through the lens of their contributions to the nation’s progress. He advocated for a narrative that celebrates the likes of Yusuf Mehar Ali, Mohammad Rafi, and Gulzar, individuals whose legacies transcend religious divides.
Meanwhile, Union Minister Arjun Munda emphasized the timeliness of the book, urging its implementation to safeguard the unity and integrity of the nation. He echoed Prime Minister Modi’s vision for a united and prosperous India, stressing that the next 25 years are pivotal for the nation’s transformation into a developed powerhouse.
Dr. Imam Umer Ilyasi echoed sentiments of unity, describing the book release as a moment of collective prayer. He recounted his decision to attend the consecration of Lord Ram, underscoring his commitment to national harmony over religious affiliations. When faced with three fatwas of blasphemy, I categorically denied their validity, emphasizing that in our secular and democratic nation, the prioritization of humanity and country above religion is not only acceptable but commendable. As Umer Ilyasi astutely pointed out, even during the sacred pilgrimage of Hajj, immigration queries one’s nationality, not religious affiliation. This underscores the essence of our nation’s ethos.
Reflecting on the birth of the Muslim Rashtriya Manch on 24 December 2002, Umer Ilyasi reminisced about the convergence of diverse leaders, including his father Imam Ilyasi, Wahidduuddin Khan, KC Sudarshan, Madan Das Devi, Lal Krishna Advani, and Sushma Swaraj. He emphasized that for India to emerge as a global leader, Hindus and Muslims must unite, fostering harmony and solidarity.
Echoing this sentiment, Swami Chidanand Saraswati of Parmarth Niketan Ashram highlighted the necessity of harmony over division. He stressed the shared identity and interconnectedness of all Indians, emphasizing the importance of unity, integrity, and sovereignty.
Sajjade Nashi and Diwan of Ajmer Dargah, Hazrat Syed Zainul Abedin, hailed the book as a tool for understanding India and promoting unity. He endorsed the necessity of CAA NRC for the country’s peace and security, citing the Ajmer Dargah as a symbol of Hindu-Muslim unity.
Shahid Akhtar requested the media to read this book and spread it to the masses through their platforms. This is not a book, it is a revolution… It is a revolution that will open the blindfold of the people, this book will prove to be a revolution that will help in closing the shops of the so-called leaders of Muslims and the contractors of Islam and religion. Will make a meaningful contribution. This is not a book but a book which will prove to be a slap on the face to the demonic powers trying to divide India. He said that today the country is standing in the great battle of democracy. In the first electoral battle of Amrit Kaal, voters will also decide the direction of their future with the country. Shahid Akhtar said that if Allah wills, in the coming days the dream that we have seen with open eyes under the guidance of respected Bhaisaheb, there will also be a government… We all together will build a Akhand Bharat.
