Koilakh Mukhiya Gets Life-threatening Calls from an offender co-villager
In a shocking development, the Mukhiya of Koilakh village Shekhar Suman has reported receiving a life-threatening call from the son of one Uttim Ray, himself a resident of Koilakh Panchayat. The local community is in shock at the news of the life-threatening call to the Mukhiya. Many have expressed their concern for the safety of the village head and have called for the swift apprehension of the person. The Mukhiya, on the other hand, has said that he will not be intimidated by the call and that they will continue to serve the village to the best of his ability.
The Inside Story
Uttim Ray, the resident of Koilakh Panchayat, is reportedly a habitual offender. The discord is associated with land. The accused has reportedly encroached the land of Bhadrakali Mandir, situated at the heart of the village. The accused was served notice several times to vacate the encroached land. But, all the efforts to make him abide by the law fell on deaf ears.
On Monday, Mr Shekhar Suman got a call from the Sarpanch of Koilakh that Uttim Ray has started shuttering work of his construction despite the notice served. At the time of receiving call, he was in Madhubani. Sensing the gravity of the situation, he immediately rushed to the village and reached to the spot. As the custodian of law and order in village, he urged the family not to break the law.
But, his effort was retorted with a threat call. Lots of unparliamentary languages followed by life-threatening words. Hyzape has the access of that audio and strongly condemns the language used in the audio. As the phone was on speaker and almost entire cabinet of Panchayat were in attendance, all were the witness of the intimidating call.
Shekhar Suman rushed to Rajnagar block, along with all his cabinet and reported the entire incident to the police. He was also interrogated by a media channel about the whole episode, along with the managers of different tolas, Panchayat Secretary and Sarpanch. Shekhar is widely acclaimed as very honest person and this is one of the reasons why he got second term.
