PACS will be set up in every panchayat of the country before 2025: Amit Shah
Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah on Tuesday laid the foundation stone and inaugurated various projects of the Haryana Cooperative Department in Karnal. On this occasion, he said that in this year’s budget, PM Modi has set a target of a very big scheme for the cooperatives of the country, in which PACS will be established in every panchayat of the country before 2025 and 2 lahks new PACS will be made.
What Union Corporation Minister Said
In his address, the Union Cooperation Minister said that 65 thousand PACS had been made since independence, and we have set a target of creating 2 lahks PACS in the next 3 years, this shows how big the scale of cooperatives is going to be. He said that the government has also brought a new cooperative policy, and apart from this, the Government of India has also established 3 cooperative societies.
What Amit Shah Said
Amit Shah said that recently the Union Cabinet took a decision that the Government of India will set up a Cooperative Export House which will send all agricultural and handicraft products to the world markets. He said that the Haryana government has made a very good beginning by starting this work so soon.
Amit Shah said that in the tenure of about one and a half years, the Ministry of Cooperation of the Government of India has made new beginnings in many areas. First, the work of strengthening the pacs was started, the construction of model bylaws for them was started and recently pacs have been allowed to do CSC work. Now, these packs will be able to do 20 different types of activities.
The Power of Ethanol Plant
Shah said that an ethanol plant with a capacity of 90 thousand liters per day has also been set up at a cost of Rs 150 crore. He said that ethanol blending also reduces the import of petroleum products in our country and due to this organic fuel, the environment is also safe. Shah said ethanol blending was less than 1 percent when the government was formed in 2014, which has increased to more than 10 percent today and will be further increased to 20 percent by 2025.

Amit Shah said that Haryana is already associated with the security of the country, but today we can say that every tenth soldier in the army is from Haryana and it is a matter of great pride for Haryana that this is the land of heroes. The farmers of Haryana are second in the country in food grain and milk production, which is a very big achievement. He said that players from Haryana also bring many medals in competitions for the country. Today, Haryana is the first and only fully educated panchayat state in the country.
