Twitter account of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s personal website hacked

Twitter itself confirmed the news of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s personal website being hacked.

After the hack, the Twitter handle @narendramodi_in associated with Prime Minister Narendra Modi was appealed to donate his followers to the Prime Minister’s National Relief Fund through cryptocurrency.

According to media reports, this incident of hacking was carried out at 3.15 am on Thursday.

According to news agency Reuters, earlier in July, Twitter accounts of many prominent personalities were hacked.

Social networking website Twitter has said in its statement to Reuters that they are aware of the hacked Twitter handle of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s website and steps have been taken for security.

Twitter said, “We are actively investigating this matter. We are not aware of other Twitter handles being affected at the moment.”

More than 25 lakh people follow the Twitter handle of Narendra Modi mobile app and his personal website.
