Jharkhand Mithila Manch Extends Invitation to Mridula Jha

Mridula Jha, who is among the rare breed of Maithils, with mellifluous voice, high pedigree and rules the roost in music concert, has got the invitation from Jharkhand Mithila March, an august association of thousands of Maithils. Mridula Jha got the honour of getting selected at FTII(Film and Television Institute of India) in her teens, but the social norms of that time did not allow her to start her career in film. She was actively associated with Darbhanga Radio Station in her school days and her love of music has intensified with each passing year. She has attended dozens of music consort and won prizes across the length and breadth of India.

Some say she is as pure as crystal, some know her as ageless beauty, some say she is of high pedigree…And all know that she has mellifluous voice. Mrs. Mridula Jha gets adjective galore when she is introduced somewhere.  Mridula Jha, known as the Nightingale of Mithila has again made the people of Mithila feel proud. Recently, she has been conferred with “Mithila Lok Geet Guru”  award by CCRT(Centre for Cultural Resources and Training), Ministry of Culture, Government of India. She is widely revered with her catchy melodies and thoughtful lyrics. Mridula Jha has an uncanny knack for good music and unquenchable thirst for singing that make her endeared to all.
