Yamaha’s two new bikes with BS6 engine, compete with Suzuki Gixxer
BS6 Yamaha FZ 25 and FZS 25 were introduced in February this year, their sales were to start in April this year, but due to Corona virus, the launch of both these bikes was delayed.
Two-wheeler manufacturer Yamaha has launched two of its bikes, the FZ 25 and the FZS 25 BS-6 compliant model. Apart from the engine, the company has not made any further changes in the design of these bikes. Let us tell you that from April this year, only BS6 vehicles are sold in the country.
Price and availability
The price of BS6 Yamaha FZ 25 is 1.52 lakh rupees, which is about 15 thousand rupees more than its BS4 model, while the price of BS6 Yamaha FZS 25 is 1.57 lakh rupees. This is 5 thousand rupees more than its model.
Booking for both these bikes has started. BS6 Yamaha FZ 25 and FZS 25 were introduced in February this year, their sales were to start in April this year, but due to Corona virus, the launch of both these bikes was delayed.
Both of these Yamaha bikes get BS6 compliant 249cc air-cooled, 4-stroke, single-cylinder engine that generates power of 20.8ps and torque of 20.1Nm. This engine is equipped with fuel-injection technology. For safety, it has a dual-channel anti-lock braking system. The curb weight of the Yamaha FZS 25 is 153 kg while the curb weight of the FZS 25 is 154 kg.
Both of these bikes have features such as LED DRL, Class D bi-functional LED headlamp, under cowling, golden alloy wheels and side stand with engine cut-off switch. Apart from this, this bike has a multi-function negative LCD instrument cluster.
Suzuki Gixxer 250 to compete with
These bikes from Yamaha will compete with the Suzuki Gixxer SF 250. The X show room price of this bike is Rs 1,70,655. It has a 4-Stroke, single cylinder, oil-cooled engine of 249cc which gives power of 26.13 Hp and torque of 22.6 Nm. This bike offers speed gearbox.
For better braking, disc brakes have been provided in the front and rear of the bike. Apart from this, anti-lock braking system is also given in it. It is believed that the company is now preparing to launch a new model of Gixxer 250. By the way, no information has been received from the company about it yet.
Apart from Suzuki, both these bikes will compete with Bajaj Auto, Hero MotoCorp, Honda 2 Wheelers and Bajaj bikes. Now it has to be seen how much customers like Yamaha’s new FZ 25 and FZS 25 bikes, otherwise there are many options available in the market at this time.
