BYJUS to acquire Aakash Educational Services; deal for $ 1 billion
BYJU’S is about to acquire Akash Educational Services Pvt. Ltd for its educational services. Akash Educational Services runs the Akash Institute, a renowned series of coaching institutes in the country.
India’s largest online education startup BYJUS has entered into a major business deal with Aakash Educational Services Private Limited. It is being told that in the coming days, BYJUS is about to make a deal of one billion dollars with Akash Educational.
BYJUs to acquire Akash Educational Services
As per Bloomberg report, Aakash Educational Services Pvt. Ltd and BYJUS are set to be one of the world’s largest edtech acquisitions. According to the report, one of the world’s largest edtech acquisitions deals will be completed in the next two to three months.
Acquisition for educational services
The report states that BYJU’S is about to acquire Akash Educational Services Private Limited for its educational services. Explain that Akash Educational Services, supported by Blackstone Group, runs the Aakash Institute, a famous series of its coaching institutes in the country, which trains students for engineering and medical entry exam.
BYJU’S has already acquired
Currently, no official confirmation has been made by BYJU’S and Aakash Educational Services. In recent days, in August 2020, Biju announced that it had acquired Whitehat Junior, after which speculations are being made that Akash Educational Services can now be acquired.
