Son blows 16 lakh rupees in PUBG, father doesn’t even know

A new report has surfaced on Thursday, claiming that a teenager from Punjab had spent Rs 16 lakh from her parents’ bank account to make purchases inside the PUBG mobile game. It is also reported that the father of this 17-year-old youth living in Khagar had deposited these funds for medical expenses and this was his lifetime income.
A report from Tribune India, citing the young man’s parents, claimed that Kishore had access to the three bank accounts of the parents, which he used to upgrade his PUBG mobile account. Kishore reportedly made in-app purchases for his peers as well. The report said that the family came to know about it through a bank statement.
The father of the minor is said to be a government employee and he also lives. The father, who expressed a desire not to disclose his name, told Tribune India that the 17-year-old man lived with his mother and the father was posted elsewhere. The father said, “He used the mother’s mobile phone to do all the transactions and removed the incoming bank messages about the amount debited from the account.”
The report further claimed that the parents thought the 17-year-old was “using Smartphones for online studies”. After the incident, the young man has been hired in a repair shop to not spend much time on PUBG Mobile. The father said, “I cannot let him sit idle in the house and not even give him a mobile phone to read.”
