IPL 2020: Chennai Super Kings (CSK) suffered a setback before the start of the IPL when one of its players and 12 members of the support staff were found to be Covid-19 positive. The Chennai Super Kings were scheduled to start practice from today, but the practice session has been postponed due to the number of people found to be Covid-19 positive. The quarantine period has been extended for the entire team, including captain MS Dhoni.

According to media reports, this player and support staff members have been self-isolated in Dubai. The condition of all these is stable. According to the SOP of this T20 league, all of them will have to remain in isolation for two weeks. After this, they will have two corona tests in two days and only after they come negative, they will be given entry in the bio-secure bubble. The identity of which player of the team has been found to be Corona positive has not been revealed but according to sources it is the Indian fast bowler of the team.
