Printing of stopped notes in Nashik press

The work has been stopped in Nashik’s Currency Security Press and India Security Press till 30 April. In both these presses, only employees connected with essential services will work during this period, like – employees connected with fire brigade, water supply and medical services will work in their respective shifts.

40 percent notes are printed here

During this time, people associated with the printing of notes will not come, so the printing of notes will be completely closed. Let me tell you that about 40 percent of the circulated notes in India are printed in the currency note press (CNP) of Nashik. Around 3000 employees work in both these companies. This decision has been taken keeping in mind the safety of the health of these employees and their families.

Printing was stopped last year too

Last year too, the currency press note was closed for a few days due to the Corona epidemic. Last year also, Nashik’s press had to be closed for a few days. Because 40 staff were found to be corona infected. High quality notes are printed in Currency Note Press, Nashik.

Make digital payments instead of cash

When the government stopped printing of notes last year, it appealed to people to focus more on digital transactions instead of cash. Actually, the risk of spreading the virus from notes is also high, because some people use spit while counting notes, which is very dangerous. Therefore, it would be better to use digital mode instead of notes in the transaction.
