Biological Weapons may Cause Terrorist Attack in Corona Pandemic: United Nations

The United Nations has appealed to countries around the world battling the Corona epidemic to fight this global disaster. The United Nations has also asked to be cautious against the challenges posed by terrorist groups at this crucial time.

Secretary General of the United Nations Security Council Antonio Guterres has warned of the dangers of bioterrorism amid the worldwide Kovid-19 pandemic. Guterres has said that at the time when the world is engaged in fighting this epidemic, terrorists can attack and pose great danger to the world peace.

The danger of bio-terrorism in the era of Corona

Guterres said that epidemics such as the Kovid-19 have exposed the world’s weaknesses to fight such threats. Such a situation may give bioterrorists a chance to attack. This will increase the risk of the disease manifold.

Guterres said that terrorists can attack with more dangerous species of viruses to spread the epidemic. This can pose more danger like corona virus. The disease spread due to corona virus infection is mainly a health crisis, but its effect is much more widespread. Such situations can provide bio terrorists an opportunity to wreak havoc on bioterrorists.

Difficult times for the world

Guterres said that every country in the world is currently suffering from the havoc of the Corona virus. Thousands of people have died. Families are shattered. The pressure on hospitals has increased. Health workers are working day and night.


1,603,719 people worldwide are infected with coronavirus. 95,722 people have died. The highest number of deaths occurred in Italy, America, Spain and France. News agency AFP quoted Johns Hopkins as saying that 1,783 deaths in the US were caused by coronovirus in the last 24 hours. Across 5,800 cases in India, more than 160 people have died so far. The lockdown has been extended till 3rd May in the country. Corona virus infection cases are increasing in many states of the country.
