Bata India’s net profit doubles to Rs 62.96 crore in Q4

New Delhi, May 25 (PTI): Footwear maker Bata India Ltd’s consolidated net profit more than doubled to Rs 62.96 crore in the fourth quarter of FY 2021-22. The company’s profits have increased due to increase in earnings.

New Delhi, May 25 (PTI) Footwear maker Bata India Ltd’s consolidated net profit more than doubled to Rs 62.96 crore in the fourth quarter of FY 2021-22. The company’s profits have increased due to increase in earnings.

Bata India gave this information on the stock exchange. Due to this, the company had earned a net profit of Rs 29.47 crore in the last quarter of the last financial year 2020-21.

The company’s operating income also grew by 12.77 per cent to Rs 665.24 crore in the January-March quarter of last fiscal, as against Rs 589.90 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal.

Apart from this, the total expenses of Bata India also increased by 6.29 percent to Rs 599.39 crore during the quarter under review. It was Rs 563.90 crore in the same period a year ago.

Gunjan Shah, Managing Director and CEO, Bata India said, “In the last two quarters, we have seen a significant improvement in demand due to improved consumer sentiment, deeper understanding of the COVID-19 pandemic, availability of vaccines and rapid easing of restrictions.”
