This is 50 percent more than the first half of this year. Maharashtra, Telangana, Tamil Nadu and Karnataka will lead in terms of employment generation in this category. The report states that Maharashtra will be the leader in the total employment generation. Maharashtra will contribute 17 percent of the total workers’ demand.

New employment opportunities will be created in these areas

The category of various workers engaged in the delivery of goods has increased by 175 percent on a quarter-on-quarter basis. In these, employment opportunities have increased in the logistics, health services, e-commerce and retail sectors. He also said that if the third wave comes, there will be a negative impact of 25 to 50 percent in transport, workers providing various facilities, security and retail. At the same time, there does not seem to be any kind of impact in the delivery sector.

Jobs were ended in the first wave of Covid

Betterplace CEO Praveen Aggarwal said that since the start of the Covid epidemic, there has been a huge decline in employment in the country. The most damage was done to the workers working in the ‘blue-collar’ i.e. tomorrow-factories. He said that according to the report, the impact of the second wave of the Covid-19 epidemic on jobs was not as severe as it was in the first epidemic. There was a marginal increase in the overall job demand. Employment demand is expected to reach the pre-Covid-19 level soon. In the second wave, on a quarter-on-quarter basis, there was a 40 percent decline in driver jobs, 25 percent in facility workers and 40 percent in security personnel.
