Ola to bring six new EVs to travel from 4000 to 80000 EVs

The year 2022 was quite special for Ola, the country’s largest electric two-wheeler maker. The company has also sold the maximum number of two-wheelers during the last year. Not only this, the company is also preparing to bring more and more EVs to the market in the coming financial year. Ola’s founder and CEO Bhavish Aggarwal has given information about a number of plans of the company by the end of the previous year. The CEO of the company has given so many important information regarding the future plan of this company. According to Bhavish Aggarwal, “ The company is going to introduce many more electric vehicles in the Indian market few years down the line. These vehicles range from new electric scooters to bikes, cars and SUVs. As early as by the next year, the first electric car will be introduced in the market by the company. Along with this, six new electric vehicles will hit the market by the year 2027.
Company achieved milestone in 15 months
Bhavish further said, “Ola started its journey on 15 August, 2021. We are quite happy to inform that just within 15 months, the company has achieved the position of becoming the largest electric company in terms of volume and revenue. During the year 2022 itself, the company has sold about one and a half lakh electric vehicles. The company is working on its mission electric to convert all two-wheelers to electric by the year 2025. By the year 2030, all the existing cars will be converted into electric ones.
India may become the global hub of EVs
The CEO of the company, while talking about the potential of India, further asserted that India has the great potential to become a global hub of electric vehicles. But, what needs to be done is to work on a special strategy. No doubt, we will emerge as a global hub, provided India manufactures world-class electric vehicles, invests in research as well as development. In addition to these, we will have to work on building core technology, local supply chain for new materials and do our level best to attract the best talent from across the globe.
How was the year 2022 for the company?
Talking about the year 2022, it proved to be very good for the company. The company sold the maximum number of electric two wheelers between January and November. Along with this, the company also continuously worked on improving its products. The company also started providing the update to Move OS 3 in December. In which many great features have been included. Features like call, message alert, advanced re-generation mode, party mode, hypercharging, hill hold assist, vacation mode, proximity lock and unlock are available in these. Due to which existing customers as well as new customers will also get a great experience.
