Countries all over the world, including India, are in lockdown these days, due to the deadly ‘corona virus’. Everyday the number of patients getting infected with the corona virus is increasing rapidly, to prevent it, steps like lockdown have been taken. However, the solution to this is not only lockdown but it is also necessary to monitor corona virus patients so that they do not spread this dangerous virus to others. The government is now planning to take a new step to monitor such quarantined people. On Wednesday, the government announced its plan, stating that it is going to bring some wristbands through which corona virus patients can be monitored and their temperature can also be monitored.

The purpose of this wristband project will be to track the quarantined patients and to keep the health workers and the people who provide the necessary services safe. India ranks among the countries with the strictest lockdown in the world and is now emphasizing surveillance.

Significantly, 19,984 corona virus cases have been registered so far and 640 people have died due to this dangerous virus. Let me tell you, this plan of the government is very much in line with the Hong Kong program in which the authorities used the band to identify foreign travelers and keep them apart.

Broadcast Engineering Consultants will be designed by the government company to design the wristbands. The company will introduce the design of these bands to hospitals and state governments by next week. At the same time, the company will work with Indian start-ups to manufacture them.Company chairman George Kuruvilla said that these wristbands would be released by May.

Earlier, Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi had requested the people of the country to download ‘Arogya Setu App’. This App advises people to stay away from infected people and to get a medical checkup when they show corona virus symptoms. The app was launched on April 2, and so far 50 million people have installed this app on their phones.

Kuruvilla said that this wristband will work together with this app.

He told that this wristband quarantine will monitor the person everywhere in the house and outside, while simultaneously keeping an eye on his body temperature. This band will send an alert to the health officer if a quarantine person moves out of their area. An emergency button is also provided in this band, the infected person can use it if needed.
