Prakash Javadekar said that there are about 20 recruitment agencies in the country. To end all this, the government has taken a historic decision. Union Minister Jitendra Singh said that merit list of Common Entrance Test (CET) will be valid for 3 years for conducting Common Eligibility Test. During this time, the candidate will be able to apply for jobs in various fields on the basis of his merit and choice.

Jitendra Singh said that this is one of the most historic reforms in the history of independent India. This will facilitate ease of recruitment, selection, job and living especially for some sections of the society.

Decision to provide relief to sugarcane farmers too

Giving information about another decision taken in the meeting, Prakash Javadekar said that Cabenit has also decided to take one crore sugarcane farmers. The government has increased the remunerative price. Now the price of Rs 285 per quintal was fixed. This is based on 10 percent recovery. If 11 percent recovery happens then you will get 28 rupees 50 paise more per quintal. At the same time, even after recovery of 9.5% or less, the sugarcane farmers will get a price of Rs 270.75 per quintal, giving protection. This will benefit one crore farmers.

Decisions were also taken regarding the airport

Prakash Javadekar said that it has been decided to give 1 thousand 70 crore for the airports. This money will be used by the Airport Authority of India to develop airports in small cities. This will provide good facilities to the passengers. He said that the Airport Authority of India will not give the airport to a private company. After running for 50 years, they will get the airport back to the Airport Authority of India.

Prakash Javadekar said that it has been decided to award the contract for operation, management and development of six airports to private companies. For this, the tender was called through auction. It has been decided to give Jaipur, Guwahati and Thiruvananthapuram airports to the highest bidder.
