Cinemas to open in Odisha from January 1, government issued new guidelines

The central government approved the opening of theaters in October itself. However, the Center had said that the audience should be seated in theatres in such a way that the seat next to them remains vacant.

The Odisha government has issued new guidelines regarding the corona virus. Under this, now theatres and theatres have been allowed to open in the state with 50 percent audience from 1 January 2021. The latest guidelines are from 1 January 2021 to 31 January. Cinemas will open in Odisha on New Year after about nine months.

Up to 200 people will be allowed to participate in social / religious / entertainment / sports / educational and cultural programs in the state. However, the district administration can reduce the number of people joining the programs as per the situation. The number of guests attending weddings is still limited to 200. The government has increased the number of people attending the funeral from 50 to 100.

It has been decided to keep all Anganwadi centers closed till 31 January 2021, although the distribution of ration will continue. It has been said in the guidelines that the swimming pool will still be closed; only it can be used for training. Lockdown will remain in force inside the Containment Zone, but no lockdown has been allowed to be placed anywhere outside it.
