Corona virus: Bihar becoming hub of Corona?

Spread the love

In Bhojpuri, Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke to Bihar BJP workers on July 4. He was saying that the people of Bihar BJP did such a good job during Corona that the spread of infection did not increase here.

But statistics from the health department of the Bihar government say that within two days (four and five July) of the Prime Minister’s address, there have been a record 950 positive cases of corona infection in Bihar.

Actually, it is not just a matter of two days to get the records of infection. This is the condition continuously for the last few weeks. Every day more and more cases of corona infection are being received.

Corona mounting cases

In Bihar, the number of positive cases has increased from 3807 (as on 31 May) to 11,860. In this way, the cases of infection have increased almost three times during this period.

The spread of infection is such that now it is no longer only for people from outside or common people.

DM and SP of many districts have been hit by it, dozens of doctors and medical staff working in hospitals are infected, infection has reached even to ministers and leaders, even the Speaker of the Assembly has been infected by the family.

Dr. Sanjay Oak, the head of Kovid Task Force in Maharashtra, said that “lockdown is an unlocked art if it is science, which is initiated at different stages”.

But the current state of Bihar is telling the story of failure in the art of unlocking.

Its hallmark can also be seen in the political and social corridor of Bihar where all the focus of the ruling party and the opposition has shifted to the upcoming election.

More electoral activities are taking place in Bihar to prevent the spread of infection, traffic jams are taking place on the roads, people are participating in ceremonies and events.

The terms of the exemption in lockdown appear to be limited to papers and announcements.

Capital Patna becomes Corona Hub

Rajdhani Patna is the corona hub of the state with its one thousand positive patients. But despite this, the markets have started getting crowded as before and the condition is that in the buses running on the streets, people are seen traveling with great vigour.

By the way, the government here also says wear masks and go to work. But people associated with the government themselves were seen avoiding masks on many occasions.

A few days ago a picture of the swearing-in ceremony of newly elected legislators went viral on social media, in which all the elected counsellors as well as Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, Speaker of Legislative Council Awadhesh Narayan Singh, Speaker of Legislative Assembly Vijay Chaudhary, Deputy CM Many others, including Sushil Modi, were seen making fun of social distancing.

It was a group photograph that did not mark the distance of two ghaz between the 16 people involved and more than half of the masks hanging from the ears adorned their throats rather than covering the mouth and nose.

After this ceremony, the Chairman of the Legislative Council got the news of the family being infected.

Questioning the government’s seriousness under the pretext of that picture, senior journalist Santosh Singh says, “When the leaders start presenting themselves in this way to the public, it is natural that the public will not take the infection seriously.”

Santosh says, “As far as the seriousness of the government is concerned, it has now come into electoral mode. The government is preparing to conduct elections on time so it is trying to establish a new normal even in this odd situation, where Kovid- Negative talk about 19 should be less, positive things should be more. “

Doctors of Muzaffarpur are becoming patients

During the last few days, it has also been seen that cases of infection in doctors and medical staff have increased in different cities of Bihar.

Only Muzaffarpur city has more than three dozen doctors infected. The Juran Chhapra area, which is called the hub of doctors, has become a corona hub.

The infected include doctors from both private and government hospitals. The result is that most of the nursing homes and private hospitals in the city have been closed. Patients are forced to wander from rate to rate.

10 doctors of SKCHM, the largest government hospital in Muzaffarpur, have been found infected.

Medical superintendent Sunil Kumar Shahi told the BBC, “The crowd in the hospital is getting so difficult that it is difficult to handle. That is why even doctors are not able to save themselves. If people fall ill, they will come to see the doctor There is nothing bad in this. But these people are neither following social distancing nor applying masks. We can give advice to people as doctors. It is the responsibility of the government to strictly follow it Is where we all fail. “

Dr. NR Vishwas, director of IGIMS, a major hospital in Patna, has also been found to be corona positive. His driver was found positive earlier.

Why common man’s inquiry report in three days?

The Corona report of the Chairman of the Legislative Council created a stir in the political world of the state after coming positive. He and all those involved in the swearing-in ceremony were investigated. CM Nitish Kumar, Speaker of the Legislative Assembly Vijay Chaudhary and Deputy CM Sushil Kumar Modi also conducted their investigation on Saturday. The report of everyone except one police officer has come negative. This was confirmed by the CM’s PRO Virendra Kumar Shukla from the BBC.

The most special thing is that the test report of CM and other leaders and officials came on the same day, a few hours after giving the sample.

But on social media, people are now starting to question whether the Bihar government is discriminating in the process of Corona investigation? It is being said that it is taking at least two to three days for the common man to come to the corona report.

Nitish Kumar’s PRO Virendra says in response to this question, “Such accusers should understand that there is a protocol with the CM that has to be followed.”

On the question of delay in the investigation of the common man, Virendra Kumar Shukla says that he is responsible only for answering the matters related to the Chief Minister.

Why is the speed of the test not increasing every day?

Bihar has been the leading state in the sample test of corona virus since the beginning. There are 2,57,859 sample tests of corona virus in the state till 4 pm on the evening of July 5.

For a state with a population of more than 12 crores, so far sample tests can be said very few.

Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has been saying for the past several days, “Speed of investigation should be increased. There should be 20 thousand sample tests daily.”

But according to the sample test records, an average of eight thousand people have been checked daily for the last one week.

State Health Minister Mangal Pandey says, “Compared to last month, the speed of testing has increased very fast. The labs have increased. We will be able to check 20 thousand daily by the coming weeks.”

People are not afraid of increasing cases?

While it is important that the infection is spreading very fast in Bihar in view of the imminent danger of Kovid-19, but the emphasis of Bihar government, leaders and officials is more on stating that the recovery rate here is 73.90 percent, which according to him is much better.

Listening to the leaders and officials and knowing from the media, now common people have started saying the same thing here. In such a situation, the danger is that by saying and accepting this will the risk come down?

Dr. Sunil Kumar Shahi says, “People here are not able to understand the danger right now. They do not behave in this way if they understand. But we know that getting a new case from any new area is a matter of great concern. . And here we are getting 400-500 daily. If people do not warn even now then the time is going to be very bad. “

The bad time that Dr. Sunil is saying, it seems that it has started. Because of the increasing cases in Madhubani, there has been a complete lockdown again for the next three days. According to health department officials, there is news that in the coming days, there will be a lockdown in Darbhanga, Muzaffarpur, Bhagalpur and Patna.
