Mumbai. All the temples that were closed in Maharashtra due to the Corona epidemic (Covid-19 Pandemic) will be able to be opened again from 7 October. October 7 is the first day of Navratri. This information has been given by the Chief Minister’s Office of the state. In fact, demonstrations were also taking place in the state on the issue of closure of temples. Many leaders including Anna Hazare had demanded that temples should be opened in the state.

The state government was still shying away from reopening religious places for fear of the spread of the coronavirus, especially as a third wave of the pandemic is being anticipated. But the demand was being raised from the opposition side.

Maharashtra’s BJP unit chief Chandrakant Patil had said, ‘BJP is doing Shankhnaad movement to start temples, mosques, churches, gurudwaras, Jain temples in the state. The government is disrespecting the sentiments of the people. During this, the Maharashtra unit of BJP organized agitations to open temples at different places in the state.
