Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla held a meeting with the general secretaries of both houses on Thursday to see the preparations for the monsoon session of Parliament. CPWD and NDMC officials were also called in this meeting. Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla said that in view of the danger of Corona, all kinds of precautions will be taken in this session. This time, along with the external safety of the MPs, special attention will also be given to the protection from the corona virus.

He said that for the first time, Lok Sabha MPs would be seated in separate halls instead of sitting in one hall. The Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha meetings will be held at different times. If one House meets in the morning then the other House meets in the evening. There will be separate protocol for MPs coming and going in the Parliament premises. The seating arrangement of the Lok Sabha MPs will be different in this session. During the session, a separate guideline is also being made for the employees of Parliament. Which everyone has to follow.

During this 18-day session, care will be taken to ensure that there is no best way to protect the corona epidemic. Parliament proceedings will take place every day without any holiday. During the meeting, the galleries and chambers of the houses will be used to maintain social distance between the MPs.

Based on the number of MPs of different political parties, they will be allotted space to sit inside the house and in the gallery. The Lok Sabha Speaker directed that all the protocols should be prepared and rehearsed before the Parliament session begins so that there is no problem during the session.
