WhatsApp has introduced a great feature to improve the chatting experience of its users. WhatsApp’s Android and iOS users can now connect to eight people in the group simultaneously via audio or video call.

Before the introduction of this feature, a maximum of four members in the WhatsApp group could connect simultaneously. This information came from the Twitter account of Web Beta Info, a popular Chinese technology site tracking WhatsApp updates.

A recent WhatsApp beta update has revealed that the company is soon set to expand the range of participants in an audio or video group call for its two billion users, which includes over 400 million people in India.
Web Beta Info tweeted, ‘WhatsApp is launching a new range of participants in group calls for iOS and Android beta users. The new frontier is eight participants in a group call’.

This requires updating iOS 2.20.50.25 iOS beta from TestFlight, while installing 2.20.133 beta from Google Play Store.

Other participants will also need to be in the same version, otherwise they cannot be added to the group call. This means that all the latest members of the group must be using the latest beta update to connect together. 32 people can simultaneously join Apple’s FaceTime video calling while 50 people can join a call with Facebook Messenger.
