Pakistan’s military dictator and former President General Pervez Musharraf has died after a prolonged illness

Pakistan’s military dictator and former President General Pervez Musharraf has died in a Dubai hospital after a long illness. He was 79 years old. According to Pakistani news channel Geo News, General Musharraf was undergoing treatment at a hospital in Dubai.

General Musharraf was the President of Pakistan from 2001 to 2008. He was declared a proclaimed offender in the murder cases of former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto and lal Masjid cleric. General Musharraf had been living in Dubai since 2016. In 2007, he was facing a sedition case for suspending the Constitution. General Musharraf went to Dubai for treatment in March 2016 and did not return to Pakistan after that. General Musharraf was born on August 11, 1943 in Delhi.
