After the announcement of the Prime Minister, from now onwards, the price of sanitary pad at all Jan Aushadhi Kendra in India will be just Rs 1. During his speech on August 15, the Prime Minister announced that now in India, sanitary napkins will be made available to women for Rs. 1 instead of 2.50.

Biodegradable napkins for 1 rupee

After the announcement of the Prime Minister, now in view of women’s health, the Central Government has reduced the price of sanitary napkins in all its Jan Aushadhi centers to 1 rupee. From today, sanitary napkins can be purchased at all public medical centers for just 1 rupee. Till now, these biodegradable napkins (biodegradable napkins) were available for Rs. 2.50 in public medical centers in the name of ‘Suvidha’, whose price has now been reduced to Rs. 1. Till now a pack of 4 napkins used to be available for 10 rupees but now it will be made available to women for only 4 rupees.

The Prime Minister announced

Prime Minister Narendra Modi in his speech on 15 August announced to make sanitary napkins available for Rs. 1. Prior to this, the BJP had also promised this in its 2019 manifesto, which the government is now fulfilling. From today, these biodegradable napkins in the name of ‘Suvidha’ will be made available in 5500 Jan Aushadhi Centers across the country. In the last one year, 2.2 crore napkins have been sold from these ‘Jan Aushadhi Kendras’ and it is believed that their prices will be doubled due to lower prices.

31.2 crore women in India are unwell

There are 31.2 crore women in India who do not have clean and effective protection related to ‘menstruation’. Most diseases in women in the country are due to their not being clean. Even 9 out of 10 women in India have to face their physical problems every month. Due to poor means and economic condition, women resort to harmful things like dirty clothes or old leaves which cause health problems.
