Delhi’s Principal Secretary (Revenue) Sanjeev Khirwar was accused of taking athletes out of the Thyagaraj Stadium and walking his dog. After this matter came to light, Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal had announced that now all the stadiums in Delhi will remain open till 10 pm so that the athletes do not face any problem.

Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal had said on the Thyagaraj Stadium case, “It has come to my notice that the players are facing problems because of the heat. The stadium closes at 6-7 pm. We are issuing instructions that all sports facilities Stay till 10 pm and players can use it.”

What is the whole matter?

In fact, athletes and coaches at the Thyagaraj Stadium are complaining that they are being forced to complete training ahead of time. According to him, the reason for this is that for the last few months, Delhi Principal Secretary (Revenue) Sanjeev Khirwar comes here to walk his dog.

According to the report of the Indian Express, a coach said that earlier we used to train from 8 to 8.30 pm. But now we are asked to leave the field by 7 pm so that the officials can walk their dogs on the ground. Our training and practice routine has been disrupted.

At the same time, 1994 batch IAS officer Khirwar has termed the allegations absolutely false. However, he admitted that he sometimes takes his pet for a walk. But, denies that it disrupts the exercise routine of athletes.
