The Congress has described the Budget 2023-24 as proof of the declining faith of the people in the Modi government. Bihar Pradesh Kisan Congress Vice President Pankaj Jha said, “The budget of the Modi government is a proof of the people’s declining faith in the BJP. This is a budget made keeping only elections in mind, not keeping the country in mind! In this budget, no attempt has been made to find a solution to the terrible unemployment! Every house is inflation, the common man has suffered!

He said that there is nothing in the budget that will bring down the prices of everyday commodities. Pankaj Jha said, “The Modi government has looted the country by increasing the price of flour, pulses, milk, LPG- everyone! There is nothing in this budget for the welfare of Dalits, tribals, backward classes. There is not a single step to protect their rights.

He questioned the Centre that the budget for MGNREGA has been reduced by Rs 38,468 crore. So what will happen to the poor? There is no boost in education and health budgets.

“Anti-farmer, Narendra Modi government has not given anything in the budget for farmers! In 2022, the promise of doubling the income of farmers was made, why did they not fulfill it? Where is the MSP guarantee? Ignoring farmers is going on! The banking sector has been ruined by the Modi government. Fugitives have looted the country and fled! There is an NPA slippage of Rs 36 lakh crore on banks. But there is no solution in the budget! There is not a word on the risk that SBI and LIC are being put at risk.

Farmer leader Pankaj Jha said, “Overall, the Modi government has made the lives of the people of the country miserable. The country’s economy has been deeply hurt. Apart from looting the country’s property, the Modi government has done nothing. This budget will be called the name big and darshan will be called small budget.

Jha said, “This budget has not been presented understood the real spirit of the country, unemployment and inflation are at its peak in the country. But in the budget, only fancy announcements have been made which were made earlier, but have not been implemented, like only insurance companies benefited from PM Kisan Scheme and not farmers.
