According to Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia, on Thursday, 7040 people were tested for corona through rapid antigen testing in the capital.

It was decided to use this system of testing after a meeting of Delhi political parties with Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Monday.

Its work started from Thursday, in which 456 people were found positive in the first day’s testing.

Arvind Kejriwal government of Aam Aadmi Party has established 193 centers in the capital for this.

Earlier, the Chief Minister had said through a tweet that the price of Corona Testing – RT-PCR test in Delhi has been reduced to Rs 2400.

Earlier it was fixed at Rs 4500. This rate was fixed by the Indian Council of Medical Research.

There were questions about the high price in many circles.

Manish Sisodia said that in the initial phase, under rapid testing, people whose houses are coming into the container zone are being investigated.

After the meeting with Amit Shah, it was said that the testing will be increased.

The Rapid Testing Kit has been approved by the Indian Council of Medical Research. Its result appears in just 30 minutes, although the initial result starts clearing in 15 minutes.

Simply put, in a new kit or antigen test you try to detect the presence of virus in the upper part of the respiratory system.

For this, a sample is taken from within the nose and it is examined there only, that is, the sample does not have to be sent to the lab for testing.

Blood samples are taken in the antibody test and the protein or enzyme is tested in it, in response to any unknown elements in the body such as bacteria, viruses, etc.

It takes some time for such a reaction to happen, that the disease has spread in the body (it depends on how soon or late the test is done).

The directive issued by ICMR states that the sample will be trained by a trained health worker for the rapid antigen test and all precautions, such as PPE kits, etc., must be taken care of, testing of samples will be completed within an hour.

Those whose results will be negative Kovid-19, their RT-PCR test will be conducted. If found positive, there will be no need to test again.

This kit prepared by a Korean company has been investigated by ICMR and All India Medical Sciences.

Currently, the RT-PCR test for Kovid costs Rs 2000 to Rs 4500, and it can take two to five hours to get the results, apart from taking the sample and taking it to the lab, it takes time.

Due to the lack of labs that can test the Kovid, it often takes many days to get results.

The Antigen Test Kit will be used on hot spots and treatment areas and on patients who have come in contact with a positive patient. Or, then those who are already suffering from other diseases like sugar, heart, respiratory disease, etc., which is also called co-morbidity.
