The Jindal Global Law School (JGLS) of OP Jindal Global University on Thursday said it has appointed 10 eminent senior advocates of the Supreme Court as Adjunct Professors and Distinguished Professors of Legal Practice.

Sonipat (Haryana). The Jindal Global Law School (JGLS) of OP Jindal Global University on Thursday said it has appointed 10 eminent senior advocates of the Supreme Court as Adjunct Professors and Distinguished Professors of Legal Practice. Advocates of the Supreme Court are part of the LEAD programme, a new initiative by the Institute for the Advancement of Legal Studies and Excellence in Law.

The objective of this program is to inspire outstanding law students by imparting education under the leadership of eminent legal experts, enabling them to focus on Litigation with a view to joining the Bar and Bench. The program will help students understand the nuances of the legal profession. Senior advocates who have been a part of the LEAD program include Gaurab Banerjee, Siddharth Luthra, Gaurav Pachnanda, Mohan Parasaran, Sajan Poovayya, Ritin Rai, Surat Singh, Abhishek Manu Singhvi, Parag Tripathi and R Venkataramani.

Jindal Global Law School, said, “The LEAD program aims to identify some of the most outstanding members of the legal profession to teach a course aimed at educating and inspiring senior law students Each Honorary Assistant Professor will teach a 1-credit course on an advanced area of law and legal practice. The course, which will start from September 5, will run for eight weeks.
