The planetarium is being constructed on the land of Darbhanga Polytechnic College in an area of about 20922.25 square meters. The first phase of its construction (Bihar Second Planetarium Ready in Darbhanga) has been completed, the second phase is also in the final stage. At the same time, approval has been given by the Nitish cabinet for the creation of 12 posts for monitoring and operating the Planetarium-cum-Science Museum.
